La guerre qui a ravagé le Sri Lanka pendant 30 ans, et causé la mort de près de 100 000 personnes, s’est achevée par la défaite du mouvement séparatiste des Tigres Tamouls (LTTE) en mai 2009. Après deux ans passés dans un centre de réhabilitation, un jeune ex-combattant tamoul retourne dans son village, dans une région autrefois sous contrôle du LTTE. Il y retrouve la femme qu’il a aimée, et entreprend de revenir à une existence normale. Mais les haines du passé, les trafics louches et les rancoeurs sont autant de champs de mines pour celui qui revient.
The war that ruined Sri Lanka for thirty years and killed almost 100,000 people, ended with the defeat of the Tamil Tiger’s separatist movement (LTTE) in May 2009. After two years in a rehabilitation center, a young ex-fighter tamil comes back to his village, in an area that used to be under LTTE's control. There, he meets the woman that he loved and sets out to return to a normal life. Unfortunately, hatred of the past, shady dealings and resentment are too many obstacles for his return.
